A Minimally Invasive Procedure for Diagnosing and Treating Knee Joint Issues

Knee arthroscopy, often referred to as “keyhole” surgery, is a minimally invasive technique used to diagnose and treat issues within your knee joint. During the procedure, Dr Keeley inserts a small camera, known as an arthroscope, through a tiny incision in your knee. This camera provides a clear, real-time view of the inside of your joint on a monitor, allowing him to accurately assess the condition of your knee.

Once your knee joint has been thoroughly visualised, Dr Keeley will insert specialised instruments through additional small incisions to perform the necessary surgical procedures. This minimally invasive approach enables effective treatment with less disruption to the surrounding tissues, leading to a quicker recovery and less postoperative discomfort.
